Introduction
Good afternoon, fabulous person!! (or morning...or evening...or two in the freaking morning...all depending on where you live).
If you don't know this, my name is Kiah.
So, I guess I should probably tell you a bit about myself...that is, if you don't already know me.
I'm basically just a homeschooling, high school student with a lot of hopes and dreams.
I live and breathe music. When I'm not listening to one of my many playlists, I love songwriting, rapping and most especially, singing.
I don't travel out of my state very often, but I dream of one day spending a good portion of my life travelling. I'm passionate about experiencing things and taking calculated risks to get the best out this precious gift of life the LORD has given me. I love to write. A lot of times the words don't come out just right in real life so getting to pour out my feelings and finding a hidden lesson amidst something that happens in life, I love pulling that lesson to the surface and sharing it. And of course, whenever an experience like that happens, I'll be sure to blog my adventures here. After all, didn't Jesus use parables and examples to bring valuable points across? I think it's a very effective way to put the amazing works of our Savior under the undeniable light of your own story. When you show Him working in you and in your life, nobody can really argue it because that's your testimony.
Anyway, I absolutely love fashion, photography, cooking,YouTube, comedy, most forms of media and entertainment, social psychology, politics, and participating in as many church events and ministry as I can fit into my schedule.

I'm extremely spontaneous, a master procrastinator and super extroverted. Some people say I'm a bit sassy, which is...technically true. xD If you want to know more about my personality in a creepy stalker kinda way, check out my personality type. I'm an ENFP.
I like stepping out of my comfort zone by doing weird, random and crazy things to make people laugh. If I die a comedian, I will have succeeded at life. My goal is simply to be confident, make others smile, feel cared for and hopefully show them the love of Jesus. If that means doing things most people wouldn't do, so be it.

I'm also fairly decent at soccer. Definitely not professionally, but hey, I'm a good goalie....
Anyway, I'm a Christian, which is the most relevant fact I can give you. I love evangelism, theology and apologetics. I'm very passionate about mentoring and helping my brothers and sisters in Christ, in any way that I possibly can. I have a love for people that I can't really describe. But, I love hearing their stories and being able to love on them as much as I can.
Anyway, this blog will simply be a journal of sorts. Talking about significant events in my life (sometimes I'll leave names and locations out) while hoping to entertain and encourage my readers.
Hopefully the grammar is fairly acceptable, as I don't claim to be the greatest editor.
This blog is in no way supposed to be perfect and if it's a little random, good! It reflects me well.
As you read, hopefully I can make you laugh.... Even more hopefully, I can make you think. And most hopefully you will look at life through a more optimistic lense.
We have been given such a great gift of life by the Creator of the universe, and there was once a time I took that for granted. I don't want anybody to do the same.
We'll probably talk about that more later.
But, I truly want you all to experience the joys of anticipating what God has in store for your life, instead of sitting in a puddle of depression because of the way you view your existence, and the limited way you look at your goals. I want you to be able to allow Christ to lead you in everything you do.
So many people are falling victim to depression, sadness, selfishness and ungratefulness. Of course, as humans, we're all prone to fall into these kinds of things but we've been programmed to accept and ride with those attitudes as if we have no choice other than to accept and even embrace them as part of our very identity.
I think it's about time we changed things up a bit.
The title of my blog was named after my favorite "feel good" song called "This is Living," by Hillsong Young and Free.
We'll talk further on the reason for that later on. ;)
Anyway, I think I'd better wrap this up and not give away too much before this 'introduction post' turns into a full on book!
Thank you so much for reading and, I'll be posting spontaneously until I can find a reasonable posting date, compatible with my schedule, which may or may not happen anytime soon. But, I definitely plan on posting again later this week or early next week, so stay tuned.
In the mean time, I have a question for you.
What do you want to see me write about in future posts?
Let me know in the comments :)
The LORD bless you and keep you and let His face nine upon you and be gracious to you.
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you and give you His peace. ~Numbers 6:24-26

ReplyDeleteI CAN'T WAIT TO READ THIS ^-^
My view of life has been improving a little, usually better the more I stay away from the news and social media. XD I'm not sure I could say I'm quite to positive, but I'm a work in progress so I guess that's okay. I have to struggle against cynicism, and it's come out a lot during this election, which I view as a lose-lose situation. Anyway, without delving into the realm of politics too much... I'm trying to trust it to God and know that whatever ends up happening, even if it doesn't get better in this life, it will in the next, and I have a hope to look forward to. <3 Tera
So proud of you, Tera!Stay strong, girly. You're on the right track ♡
